We see lots of visitors and photographers out here at the farm. It's so fun to see their beautiful pictures, and their own unique take on how they present the animals. This time, I was the subject, and I got to get all spiffed up when I went out to do the chores. Believe me, chores and feeding time is the opposite of glamorous. Between alpaca spit fights, goat kicks, and shoveling poop, some days I am hanging on by a thread. Or a chicken, in this case.
But in moments like these, during a glorious end of summer golden hour, I am reminded of how lucky I am to be surrounded by such sweet animals. I am so grateful to the wonderful photographer Ian Kirby for capturing these beautiful moments. You can see that Patch is pretty thrilled also!

My 14 year old son and I live out of state, in NJ, and we plan to visit relatives in Bluffdale in July 2020.
I looked at your education opportunities and I don’t see what I am looking for so I decided to write.
Your classes look like fun, are they for kids only? How often do adults take needle felting? I might take a class when we visit.
But I also have another need. I am looking for a place that could use my son’s help to involve him in productive experiences, away from sitting home at a screen. My son is very tall, healthy and strong but lacks handy skill. He is very easy going and well behaved and a good student. Any safe and simple labor would work. Do you need someone for a week or two or on a daily basis to do any kind of simple work? Kind of a teen work camp or just a single helper.
Is there any way you are interested in that?
